Meet Gordon Winston
I am, by trade, a performer/songwriter and have been since 1990. I have been performing throughout the New York metro area. I have traveled domestically and internationally performing r&b, funk and pop. I’ve recently created an internet presence that represents original compositions that I and others have written for the express purpose of expanding into the recording/distribution part of the entertainment industry. The name of my self-created performing
entity is NEXSTEP.
NEXSTEP is comprised of two parts: (1) a 1 to 4 piece unit geared toward bringing the best of r&b (1970-present) and classic rock (1968-1978) - (2) a 3 to 5 piece unit focused on “original” r&b/funk and becoming a dominating force in the recording/concert arena.
Below are some of the highlights of my industry accomplishments over the past several years:

2005 - featured vocalist in an “opening act” for, recording act “Tavares” at the Copa Cabana - NYC
2004 - featured in an “opening act” for the recording act “The Trampps” at the Sheraton - NYC
2001 - background vocalist for “Gloria Gaynor” for concert at Club Shine - NYC
1999 - featured in one of a series of national commercials for Miller-Lite for the “Superbowl” campaign of the1998-99 season.
1998 - featured vocalist in “opening act” for recording act “The Emotions”/Sony Jazz Festival - NJ
1997 - featured vocalist in an “opening act” for “Little Anthony” at party for JFK, Jr - Whitney Museum, NYC
1980 - vocalist for the recording act "Young and Company." Featured on hit song,
"I Like What You're Doing to Me."
In addition I have performed for a host of corporate/political events and parties (i.e. political rally for then senator, John Corzine, (2003) corporate party for the Mayor of S. Brunswick, NJ (2002) to name a few. I have also been represented by the Fifi Oscard Co. in NYC.
